Carol Udale

She trained as a 3D designer in wood, metal and ceramics in Manchester and consequently spent 20 years making slip cast/ hand built pottery in Chester and Mold, North Wales.  By 1996, She wanted to change direction and came back to my love of drawing and painting, of which I have been doing ever since.  To supplement mher income she trained as a further education tutor and has carved a second career teaching art to adults and an art club for 5 – 11 year olds (65 children every week for nearly 23 years!)
She now concentrate on adult classes in the community and the highlight of the year is the Helfa Gelf Art Trail across North Wales of which She takes part with 4 other artists and artisans in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere called Cilcain.
So many people come to visit us to see how we make our work, buy and book into future classes and workshops.
Her style stems from her days as a potter which seems to have transposed into her watercolours – lots of lines and texture.  She got a rescue dog called Daisy who has taken her into another world of muddy fields, woods and plenty of time to reflect and conjure the next idea that pops up in her head!
